We are a not for profit organization and most of our performances are benefits; we have raised money for ecumenical soup kitchens, helped to fund rebuilding efforts in cities affected by wars, and endowing a chair in Judaica at the University of Toronto.

You should have a love of performance, a nice voice and be willing to travel on occasion.

CASTING CALL!
We are currently casting for upcoming Yiddish/English productions of PIRATES OF PENZANCE & The MIKADO.
No need to speak or understand Yiddish. Roles are multiply cast. Come prepared with a song. Open call will be at Chatterton School - 108 Merrick Ave, Merrick. During the fall and spring as well as at JCC of West Hempstead - 711 Dogwood Ave., West Hempstead, NY (bordering Franklin Squ). During the Summer and Winter.

NEEDED - CREW MEMBERS
Stage Manager - required at most rehearsals and all shows.
Responsibilities may include: help with scheduling and running rehearsals, coordinating the director's wishes, calling cues and actors' entrances during performance, overseeing the entire show each time it is performed or rehearsed, make sure everyone involved is notified of rehearsal times, meetings, costume/wig fittings and coaching sessions, make sure rehearsal props and furnishings are available for the actors attend all rehearsals, notifications of changes made in rehearsal, record blocking and choreography.
Set Transportation: required for show dates and at show performance locations
Responsibilities may include: Travel to warehouse location, loading in set pieces from storage space or ware house, transporting set pieces to performance location, loading in set pieces to stage area, quick change set pieces in between scenes, break down and load out of set pieces after shows, and transport set pieces back to storage location.
Hair and Makeup: required for show dates and at show performance locations
Responsibilities may include: Hair styling, wig styling, makeup design, applying and assisting with makeup, and someone to just help with stubborn zippers and jewelry clasps, for all cast members
Assistant sound tech: required for most show dates
Responsibilities may include: Help putting microphones and mic packs on actors, sound checks, sound board operations during shows, and collecting microphones after shows.
We provide all equipment.
Lead Photographer and Videographer: required for most show dates.
Responsibilities include: Providing own equipment, providing photos and videos of each show, editing any necessary changed for photos and videos of shows, getting finished photos and videos back to the show director in a timely manner.
Sales Reps required at most shows
Responsibilities include selling company merchandise as well as set up and break down of sales table before and after performances.
